The maker of copiers, printers, scanners and fax machines, Xerox Corp., on Monday posted an increase in 2Q profit, but the company’s quarterly results fell short of analysts’ expectations. The company also said earnings available to common shareholders more than doubled on a tax benefit. At the time of the announcement, Xerox refused to update or reaffirm its earnings guidance, but refused to update or back its earnings outlook.
