American Campus Communities, Inc, the real estate investment trust said third quarter sales rose 8.7% to $78.4 million from $72.1 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $5.8 million or 11 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $13.1 million or 31 cents per share a year ago.
