Dynamic Materials Corporation (BOOM: chart), world''s leading providers of explosive metalworking reported fourth quarter sales increased 55% to $55.2 million from $35.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. Net income was $6.9 million, or $0.56 per share compare to $6.6 million, or $0.54 per diluted share, in same quarter of last year.

Sales in 2007 increased 46% to $165.2 million compared to $113.5 million in 2006. Full year net income was $24.6 million or $2.00 per diluted share compared to net income of $20.8 million, or $1.70 in 2006.

Dynamic Materials stock fell 20% to $43.03.

Building Materials Holding Corporation (BLG: chart), a provider of residential building products said sales for the fourth quarter 2007 decreased 30% to $419 million from $597 million in the same quarter a year-ago. Net loss for the quarter ended 2007 was $331.3 million or $11.44 per share compared to net income of $4.5 million or $0.15 per share for the same quarter of 2006.

Full year sales decreased 29% to $2.3 billion from $3.2 billion in 2006. Net loss for the year was $312.7 million or $10.86 per share compared to net income of $102.1 million or $3.45 per share in year of 2006.

Building Materials stocks fell 73 cents to $3.90.
