Burger King Holdings, Inc., a fast food restaurant chain operator reported third quarter 2008 revenues were up 10% to $594 million from $539 million last year.
Net income rose to $41 million, or 30 cents per share, from $34 million, or 25 cents per share, last year.

CenturyTel, Inc, an integrated communications company today reported revenues increased 7.9% to $648.6 million from $600.9 million in first quarter 2007.
Net income increased 10.7% to $86.2 million from $77.9 million in the same period a year ago.
Diluted earnings per share increased 19.1% to $0.81 in first quarter 2008 from $0.68 in first quarter 2007.
CenturyTel stock (
CTL: chart) rose $3.48 to $35.93.
CVS Caremark Corporation, a drug store retailer reported net revenues for the thirteen-week period ended March 29, 2008, increased 60% to $21.3 billion, up from $13.2 billion from the same period in the prior year.
Net earnings for the first quarter increased 83.1% to $748.5 million or $0.51 per diluted share, compared with net earnings of $408.9 million or $0.43 per diluted share in the comparable 2007 period.
CVS stock (
CVS: chart) rose 42 cents to $40.79.
Expedia, Inc, an online travel agent said revenue jumped 25% to $687.8 million, from $550.5 million in the first quarter of 2007. Earnings jumped to $51.3 million, or 17% per share, from $34.8 million, or 11 cents per share, a year ago.

Noble Energy, Inc, an independent energy company reported net income was $215 million, or $1.20 per share compared with $212 million or $1.22 per share, in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue rose to $1.03 billion from $743 million.

Tyco International Limited reported revenue climbed 8%, to $4.87 billion from $4.49 billion a year ago.
Net income in the quarter ended March 28 fell to $280 million, or 57 cents per share, compared with $835 million, or $1.66 per share, a year earlier.

Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, a hospitality company reported first quarter revenue increased 2.7% to $1.01 billion compared to the first quarter of 2007.
