European markets reversed earlier gains as concerns about further rate cuts dragged down shares of banks. Oversea-Chinese Banking acquired wealth management unit in Asia for $320 million from Barclays. Peugeot is looking to raise capital in the high yield bond market.

European stocks moved higher after oil rallied and positive economic data from China. Pfizer and Allegan deal worth $160 billion was canceled after U.S. put up tax hurdles. H&Mís net profit dropped 30%, but the retailer revealed aggressive expansion plans.

Pfizer terminate the agreement to acquire Ireland-based Botox maker Allergan. Acuity Brands and Constellation Brands net and revenues surged. Global Payments net soared 10%. Monsanto profit tumbled 26% on 13% decline in revenues. RPM Intl net swung to profit.

Darden Restaurants net plunged 21% but revenues jumped 7% and chairman of the board resigned. Greenbrier net declined 11% and lifted fiscal revenue forecast. International Speedway net surged 32%. Walgreens Boots Alliance net tumbled 54.5% but sales soared 14%.

European market indexes fell between 1% and 2.5% after factory orders in Germany unexpectedly dropped. Peugeot SA plummeted 6.5% after its new five-year strategic plan disappointed investors. Vale agreed to sell its stake in a steel plant venture with ThyssenKrupp and focus on core mining business.

Alaska Air agreed to acquire Virgin America for about $2.6 billion. Brocade agreed to acquire small rival Ruckus Wireless in a cash and stock transaction of about $1.5 billion. Blackstone Group agreed to buy India-based Mphasis from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co for $1.1 billion.

BlackBerry net swung to a loss after sales declined 30%. CTC Media net swung to a loss. Franklin Covey slumped 6% after sales fell 2% and quarterly net swung to a loss. Ford March total vehicles sales surged 8% and truck sales soared 11.4%. GM sales rose 0.9% and retail sales jumped 5.9%.
