Ericsson plunged as much as 9% on revenues slowdown in China. Grammer agreed to acquire privately held Reum group. Michelin revenues soared 8.7%. Kering third-quarter sales soared 12%. Vinci revenues in the quarter increased 3%.

Sensex in Mumbai rose for the first time in three days and the index closed higher for the fourth week in a row. Wipro quarterly net and revenues rose 7%. Symphony net surged 30%. Cadila revenues soared 12%. Blue Dart net surged 75%. Idea profit slipped 13%. HCL Infosystems loss widened.

Stocks on Wall Street traded higher after earnings were ahead of expectations. After the close Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon soared more than 9% after reporting stronger than expected earnings. European markets were cautiously optimistic ahead of the ECB meeting tomorrow.

Stocks in Tokyo stepped back after the Nikkei reached to a six-week high at the close of yesterday. Chugai Pharmaceutical said nine-month sales increased 10% and net soared 20% and said full-year sales are expected to rise 5.5%. SPK Corp was halted after the release of first-half results.

Australian market indexes gained but the Aussie dollar edged lower after the largest bank in the nation, CBA, lifted variable home mortgage rate by 15 basis points. Santos Ltd rejected a highly conditional purchase offer. Wesfarmers said first-quarter food and liquor sales rose 4.7%.
