U.S. first quarter GDP shrinkage was revised to 2.9%, worse since the first quarter 2009 decline of 5.4%. Smaller consumer spending and a larger decline in exports contributed to the fall. Supreme Court blocked independent streaming of broadcast TV.

U.S. stocks traded higher on a strength in tech and biotech stocks. New home sales surged 18.6%, second monthly increase following two months of decline and seasonally adjusted annual rate rose to the highest since May 2008.
