U.S. stocks struggled to advance as earnings season gain momentum. U.S. consumer prices reported by the government rose 0.2% in March. Zebra Technologies agreed to acquire enterprise division from Motorola Solutions for $3.45 billion in cash.

Stocks in Tokyo halted a seven-day losing streak and financials led the gainers. The yen strengthened and the ocean freight shipping companies led the decliners after the measure of freight rate declined for the fourteenth day in a row.

CMC net soared 27% and revenue jumped 11%. Clariant Chemicals sold its 87 acres in Thane for Rs 1,154.25 crore. GRUH Finance profit climbed 17%. Infosys profit increased 4% but revenue fell and lifted its outlook. IStreet Network plans to raise Rs 100 crore.

Glencore Xstrata sell its stake in the Las Bambas copper mine to China-based Minmetals for $5.85 billion in Peru. Kuehne & Nagel net climbed 12% but sales fell 1%. Marine Harvest said production increased. Symrise offered to buy Diana Group for in a €1.3 billion.
