Burberry said revenue climbed 16% to £1.30 billion. Co-Op Group reported net loss of £2.3 billion. Diageo sales in the quarter dropped 1.3%. Mulberry forecasted profit-before-tax of about £14 million. SAP profit jumped 3% to €534 million.

General Electric net declined 15%. Goldman Sachs profit plunged 11%. Google net rose 2% but revenue soared 19%. IBM net plummeted 21% and revenue fell 4%. Morgan Stanley net surged 55%. PepsiCo net soared 13% on flat sales. UnitedHealth net declined 7%.

U.S. stocks advanced for the third day in a row and the Nasdaq Composite erased nearly 2% of the 7% correction since March. Bank of America swung to a quarterly loss. Yahoo exceeded its quarterly sales estimate.

Abbott net tumbled 31% and sales fell 3%. Bank of America net swung to a loss. Grainger profit rose 2% on 5% increase in revenues. Johnson Controls plans to acquire Air Distribution Tech from Canada Pension Plan for $1.6 billion. Intel net dropped 4%. Yahoo profit tumbled 20%.

ASML net surged 159% to €249 million. Credit Suisse profit plunged 34% on 8% decline in revenues. Danone said sales in the quarter dropped 5% to €5 billion. GEA agreed to sell its heat-exchangers unit for €1.3 billion to Triton. Syngenta said quarterly sales rose 2%.
