U.S. Movers: CME Group, Icahn Enterprises, Kellogg, Spectra Energy

12:10 PM New York CME Group net jumped 16%. CST Brands net surged 71%. Icahn Enterprises profit surged to $472 million but revenue dropped 7%. Kellogg net rose 3% on flat revenues. Spectra Energy net climbed 43%.

A.H. Belo Corporation (AHC) declined 4.9% or 39 cents to $7.49 after the news and information company reported total revenue in the third-quarter ending in September fell 2% to $90.2 million. Net income in the quarter surged to $5.27 million or 23 cents a diluted share compared to $1.44 million or 6 cents.

AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER) climbed 3.3% or 67 cents to $20.93 after the aviation company stated net revenues in the third-quarter ending in September grew 4% to $279.2 million. Net income in the quarter soared 44% to $83.6 million or 74 cents a diluted share compared to $57.9 million or 45 cents.

CME Group Inc. (CME) dropped 2.2% or $1.64 to $73.06 after the trading service provider and exchange operator said net revenues in the third-quarter ending in September advanced 5% to $714.6 million. Net income in the quarter jumped 16% to $236.3 million or 71 cents a diluted share compared to $218.9 million or 66 cents.

CST Brands, Inc. (CST) slumped 2.5% or 82 cents to $32.19 after the transportation company reported revenues in the third-quarter ending in September slid 3% to $3.3 billion. Net income in the quarter surged 71% to $41 million or 55 cents a diluted share compared to $24 million or 31 cents.

Granite Construction Incorporated (GVA) plunged 5.5% or $1.78 to $30.64 after the construction company said net sales in the third-quarter ending in September increased 2% to $741.6 million. Net income in the quarter soared 70% to $11 million or 28 cents a diluted share compared to $37 million or 94 cents.

Icahn Enterprises L.P. (ICP) jumped 3.7% or $4.36 to $106.46 after the diversified company stated net sales in the third-quarter ending in September dropped 7% to $4.2 million. Net income in the quarter surged to $472 million or $4.10 a diluted share compared to $84 million or 75 cents.

Kellogg Company (K) gained 2.7% or $1.68 to $63.96 after the ready-to-eat food maker said revenues in the third-quarter ending in September nearly flat to $3.7 billion. Net earnings in the quarter rose 3% to $326 million or 90 cents a diluted share compared to $318 million or 89 cents.

MFA Financial, Inc. (MFA) fell 3 cents to $7.40 after the mortgage-backed investment company reported interest income in the third-quarter ending in September slipped 5% to $118.5 million. Net income in the quarter plummeted 11% to $67.6 million or 19 cents a diluted share compared to $76.1 million or 21 cents.

Spectra Energy Corp (SE) rose 22 cents to $35.62 after the energy company said revenues in the third-quarter ending in September jumped 7% to $1.14 billion. Net income in the quarter surged 43% to $292 million or 39 cents a diluted share compared to $204 million or 3 cents.
