John Wiley Net Plunges 27%, Motorcar Parts Revenues Surges 16%

Earnings Review

Isle of Capri Casinos (ISLE) soared 5.3% or 86 cents to $17.21 after the gaming facilities provider said net revenues in the fourth-quarter ending on April 24 fell 1.6% from a year ago to $264.9 million.

Net income in the quarter surged to $25 million or 60 cents per diluted share compared to $3.1 million or 8 cents per share from the same quarter last year.

John Wiley & Sons Inc ((JW.A)) declined 6.8% or $3.50 to $48.34 after the professional information services provider reported revenues in the fourth-quarter ending in April decreased 2% from a year ago to $434.3 million.

Net income in the quarter plunged 27.1% to $34.2 million or 59 cents per diluted share compared to $46.9 million or 79 cents per share from the same quarter last year.

Motorcar Parts of America, Inc (MPAA) surged 5.6% or $1.55 to $29.29 after the aftermarket automobile parts maker stated net sales in the fourth-quarter ending in March jumped 16.1% from a year ago to $97.4 million.

Net income in the quarter plummeted 25.8% to $2.3 million or 12 cents per diluted share compared to $3.1 million or 16 cents per share from the same quarter last year.
