India Movers: Esab, M&M, Nagarjuna Agrichem, Thomas Cook, TCS

6:00 PM Mumbai - Esab India net declined 33% and sales dropped 11%. Mahindra & Mahindra lowered vehicle prices. Nagarjuna Agrichem net loss widened but sales jumped 22%. Thomas Cook profit plunged 27%.

The Sensex Index slipped 186.33 or 0.9% to close at 20,536.64. The CNX Nifty fell 61.30 to close at 6,091.45.

Gainers & Losers

Esab India Limited plunged 8.9% to Rs 438.80 after net profit in the fourth-quarter declined 33% to Rs 7.06 crore and net sales dropped 10.5% to Rs 109.30 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited slipped 1.2% to Rs 929.60 after the company reduced its prices of passenger vehicle between Rs 13,000 and Rs 49,000.

Nagarjuna Agrichem Ltd closed unchanged at Rs 4.30 after net loss in the third-quarter widened to Rs 5.50 crore from Rs 3.96 crore.

Net sales jumped 21.9% to Rs.152.6 crores compared to Rs.125.2 crores a year ago.

Thomas Cook India Ltd fell 0.6% to Rs 76.55 after net profit in the fourth-quarter plunged 27.5% to Rs 2.24 crore and revenues rose 1.80% to Rs 80.90 crore.

Tata Consultancy Services Limited slid 0.2% to Rs 2,192.85 after the company said U.K.-based alcohol beverage maker Diageo selected the company as its new global information technology provider.

UFLEX Limited dropped 3.6% to Rs 67.65 after the media reported income-tax department raids discovered bogus sale worth Rs 100 crore.
