India Movers: Clariant, Federal-Mogul, MphasiS, M&M, Maruti, Suzlon

6:00 PM Mumbai Apax sold in two days 7.5% stake in Apollo Hospital. Clariant fourth quarter net declined 23% and MphasiS net rose 1.2%. M&M auto sales jumped 11% and Maruti Suzuki sales fell 7.9% in February. Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn net swung to loss and Value net loss widened.

The Sensex Index gained 56.98 or 0.3% to close at 18,918.52 The CNX Nifty jumped 26.65 or 0.5% to close at 5,719.70.

For the week, the Sensex dropped 2.1% and for the month ended February declined 4.4%.

Gainers & Losers

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Ltd slipped 0.5% to Rs 822 after the UK based Apax Partners LLP sold additional 3.52% stake for about Rs 404 crore.

Yesterday the company sold 4.2% stake to raised $90.2 million.

Assam Company India Limited slid 0.3% to Rs 6.87 after net profit in the fourth quarter declined 80% to Rs 6.32 crore.

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited lowered 0.7% to Rs 550.50 after net profit in the fourth quarter declined 22.6% to Rs 22.05 crore.

Disa India Limited gained 2.7% to Rs 2,798 after net profit in the fourth quarter declined 6.9% to Rs 11.52 crore.

Federal-Mogul Goetze (India) Limited increased 1.1% to Rs 200.75 after the company reported fourth quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 22.34 crore against net profit of Rs 8.60 crore a year ago period.

ITD Cementation India Limited declined 6.1% to Rs 189.10 after net profit in the fourth quarter plunged 88.9% to Rs 1.38 crore.

MphasiS Limited rose 1.5% to Rs 379.50 after net profit in the first quarter rose 1.2% to Rs 149.42 crore.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited gained 1.8% to Rs 886.65 after the company said February auto sales jumped 11% to 47,824 units in from 43,087 units a year ago month..

Maruti Suzuki India Limited jumped 5% to Rs 1,424.20 after total sales fell 7.9% to 1,09,000 units in February.

Suzlon Energy Limited surged 18.1% to Rs 18.95 after bounced back from tumbling of 33.8% on yesterday.

Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited tumbled 20% to Rs 46.70 after the company reported fourth quarter net swung to a loss of Rs 100.67 crore compared to net profit of Rs 22.17 crore a year ago.

Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure Limited fell 0.6% to Rs 118 after the company reported fourth quarter net swung to a profit of Rs 3.54 crore from net loss of Rs 0.36 crore a year earlier.

Trend Electronics Limited slipped 3% to Rs 27.40 after net loss in the fourth quarter widened Rs 14.03 crore.

Value Industries Limited slid 0.5% to Rs 9.20 after net loss in the fourth quarter widened to Rs 23.58 crore.
