Rupee strengthened 25 paisa to 65.05 against one U.S. dollar.
The Sensex Index decreased 58.09 to close at 27,306.83. The CNX Nifty fell 13.40 to 8,261.65.

soared 6.6% to ₹563.60 after the lender said net in the second-quarter surged 52.3% to ₹180.63 crore.
Net revenues in the quarter advanced 8.7% to ₹2,620.34 crore.
The bank added the ratio of gross non-performing assets in the quarter decreased to 4.2% from 4.45% first-quarter in June and 4.24% in the same period last year.
The ratio of net non-performing assets in the quarter decreased to 2.15% compared to 2.36% first-quarter in June and 2.45% in a year ago period.
Bajaj Finance Limited
surged 5.8% to ₹5,306.05 after the financial services provider reported net in the second-quarter soared 41.7% to ₹279.39 crore.
Net revenues in the quarter jumped 36.9% to ₹1,700.57 crore.
Can Fin Homes Ltd
increased 1.6% to ₹991.20 after the housing loan provider said net in the second-quarter surged 91.8% to ₹35.38 crore.
Total revenues in the quarter soared 32.7% to ₹263.38 crore.
plunged 7% to ₹152.05 after the cargo services provider said net in the second-quarter declined 16.5% to ₹5.79 crore.
Net revenues in the quarter fell 1.7% to ₹407.72 crore.
GRUH Finance Limited
dropped 3.6% to ₹254.05 after the housing loan provider said net in the second-quarter jumped 20% to ₹51.71 crore. Net revenues in the quarter soared 21% to ₹311.81 crore.
Hindustan Zinc Limited
edged up 0.4% to ₹159.10 after the zinc producer reported net in the second-quarter increased 5% to ₹2,285 crore. Net revenues in the quarter rose 4% to ₹3,908 crore.

advanced 2.8% to ₹320.60 after the auto components maker said net in the second-quarter surged 123.6% to ₹3.89 crore.
