Hurco, Infosys Net Rise; JPMorgan Net Falls

10:45 AM New York – Hurco fourth quarter sales soared 40% to $48.6 million and net income swung to $2.7 million. Infosys third quarter net soared 15.4% to $458 million. JPMorgan slipped 23% to $3.73 billion. JDA Software expects fourth quarter revenue of $173 million. Tractor Supply estimated fourth quarter net sales increased 20% to $1.24 billion.

Earnings Review

Fossil, Inc. (FOSL) increased 2.6% or $2.27 to $89.05 after the fashion accessories designer agreed to acquire Skagen Designs, Ltd. for approximately $225 million in cash. The acquisition expected to be finalized in February 2012.

Hurco Companies, Inc. (HURC) slipped 3.1% or 75 cents to $23.27 after the industrial technology company said fourth quarter sales soared 40% to $48.6 million from $34.7 million in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter swung to $2.7 million or 41 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $1.2 million or 18 cents share a year earlier.

Infosys Limited (INFY) slipped 8.6% or $4.93 to $51.94 after the India based technology services provider reported third quarter revenues increased 13.9% to $1.81 billion from $1.58 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter soared 15.4% to $458 million or 80 cents per diluted share compared to $397 million or 69 cents share a year ago.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) decreased 3.9% or $1.44 to $35.41 after the financial holding company reported fourth quarter total net revenue decreased 18% to $21.5 billion from $26.1 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter slipped 23% to $3.73 billion or $0.90 per diluted share compared to $4.83 billion or $1.12 share a year ago.

JDA Software Group, Inc. (JDAS) slumped 13.3% or $4.38 to $28.42 after the software company reported preliminary expected revenue for the fourth quarter to $173 million increase of 3% and full year revenue expected to increase 9% to approximately $670 million.

Tractor Supply Company (TSCO) rose 0.7% or 61 cents to $80.81 the farm and ranch store retailer update net sales for the fourth quarter increased 20% to $1.24 billion from $1.03 billion year ago and Same-store sales increased 7.6%. The company now anticipates annual net income per share between $2.97 and $2.99 compared to previous guidance of $2.85 to $2.89.
