FactSet, SYNNEX, Thor Ind Net Jump; Ennis Net Declines 38%

12:00 PM New York Ennis second-quarter net declined 38% to $7 million. FactSet Research fourth-quarter net soared 132% to $144 million. Neogen first-quarter net jumped 6% to $10 million. SYNNEX third-quarter net soared 22% to $59 million. Thor Industries fourth-quarter net advanced 7% to $83 million.

Earnings Review

Ennis, Inc (EBF), the commercial printing services provider said revenues in the second-quarter ending in August plunged 9.2% from a year ago to $91.2 million.

Net income in the quarter declined 38.2% to $6.8 million or 26 cents per diluted share compared to the $11 million or 43 cents per share from the same quarter last year.

FactSet Research Systems Inc (FDS), the financial information services provider said revenue in the fourth-quarter ending in August jumped 9.7% from a year ago to $287.3 million.

Net income in the quarter soared 132% to $144.3 million or $3.55 per diluted share compared to the $62.2 million or $1.48 per share from the same quarter last year.

The stock declined after analysts worried that the company may be experiencing slower than expected growth in the coming quarters.

However, the financial services provider added 17 new clients and increased total number of clients to 3,100 and user base increased by 2,100 to 65,700.

Neogen Corporation (NEOG), the food and animal safety equipment maker said revenues in the first-quarter ending in August soared 12% from a year ago to $83.6 million.

Net income in the quarter jumped 6% to $9.9 million or 26 cents per diluted share compared to the $9.3 million or 25 cents per share from the same quarter last year.

SYNNEX Corporation (SNX), the computer peripherals services provider reported revenues in the third-quarter ending in August jumped 10.1% from a year ago to $3.7 billion.

Net income in the quarter soared 21.9% to $58.7 million or $1.47 per diluted share compared to the $48.2 million or $1.21 per share from the same quarter last year.

Thor Industries Inc (THO), the recreational vehicles maker said net sales in the fourth-quarter ending in July surged 21.7% from a year ago to $1.3 billion.

Net income in the quarter advanced 6.5% to $82.8 million or $1.57 per diluted share compared to the $69 million or $1.31 per share from the same quarter last year.
