FactSet Research Systems Inc. (
FDS), the financial information integrator said revenue in the third quarter ending in May increased 10% to $202.3 million compared to $183.6 million in the same period last year. Net income in the quarter advanced 11% to $48.0 million or $1.05 per diluted share compared to $43.3 million or 92 cents per share a year ago period.
Revenues for the fourth quarter are expected to range between $204 million and $208 million and earnings between $1.06 and $1.08.
Finisar Corporation (
FNSR), the wire-line network provider reported revenue in the fourth quarter ending in April fell 1.3% to $239.9 million compared to $243.0 million in the same period last year. Net income in the quarter surged 48% to $13.2 million or 14 cents per diluted share compared to $8.9 million or 9 cents per share a year ago quarter.
The network builder expects revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 2013 to be in the range of $218 million to $233 million.
Michael Kors Holdings Limited, the apparel and accessory retailer reported total revenue in the fourth quarter ending in March surged 58.3% to $380 million compared to $240 million in the same period last year. Comparable store sales increased 36.1%.
Net income in the quarter surged more than three-fold to $43.6 million or 22 cents per diluted share compared to $13.6 million or 10 cents per share a year ago.
For the fiscal first quarter of 2013 the retailer expects total revenue in the range of $360 million to $370 million and for the full year total revenue to be in the range of $1.7 billion to $1.8 billion.
Texas Instruments Inc. (
TXN), the semiconductor maker narrowed its business outlook for the second quarter and estimated revenue between $3.28 billion and 3.42 billion from previous range of $3.22 billion to 3.48 billion and earnings per share between 32 cents to 36 cents compared to prior range of 30 cents to 38 cents.
Under Armour, Inc. (
UA), the apparel, footwear and accessory seller’s board approved two-for-one stock split of outstanding share. This will be allocated in form of dividend of one share of class A common share and distributed around July 9.
