Aduro BioTech Net Swings to Profit, Jacobs Engineering Net Plunges

12:30 AM New York Aduro BioTech third-quarter net swung to profit after revenues surged. Jacobs Engineering fourth-quarter net tumbled 65.3% to $30 million. Tyson Foods fourth-quarter net surged 88.3% to $258 million.

Earnings Review

Aduro BioTech Inc (ADRO) rose 17 cents to $29 after the clinical-stage immunotherapy company said revenues in the third-quarter ending in September surged seven-fold from a year ago to $18.7 million.

Net in the quarter swung to profit of $0.6 million or 1cent per diluted share compared to a loss of $4.7 million or $14.24 per share from the same quarter last year.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc (JEC), the construction and engineering services provider said revenues in the fourth-quarter ending on October 2 dropped 3.1% from a year ago to $3.12 billion.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 65.3% to $29.9 million or 24 cents per diluted share compared to $86.1 million or 65 cents per share from the same quarter last year.

Jacobs forecasted earnings per share for the fiscal 2016 in the range of $2.80 to $3.30.

Tyson Foods, Inc (TSN), the food processing company reported sales in the fourth-quarter ending on October 3 jumped 3.9% from a year ago to $10.51 billion.

Net income in the quarter surged 88.3% to $258 million or 63 cents per diluted share compared to $137 million or 35 cents per share from the same quarter last year.
