Ericsson net plunged 35% to 4.2 billion kronor but sales rose 1%. Novartis net tumbled 26% to $1.5 billion and increase dividend for 2014. Philips net plummeted 68% to €134 million. Siemens profit tumbled 25% to €1.1 billion.

Stocks in Tokyo rebounded and the yen eased following market advance in Europe after European finance ministers showed willingness to negotiate with the newly elected Greek leader. Dai-ichi Life won the U.S. regulatory approval for the purchase of Protective Life.

Australian market indexes traded higher in heavy volume and Aussie dollar continued its slide after iron ore prices fell to a new five-year low. Iron ore prices extended 55% losses in thirteen months on the rising production in Australia and softening demand in China.

Bharat Electronics said profit soared 42%. Godrej Properties net rose 26%. Shriram Transport Fin net slid 1% but revenues increased 7%. Maruti Suzuki India net climbed 18% on 15% increase in revenues. UBI net fell 13%. United Spirits net jumped 21%.

Rock-Tenn Corp agreed to merge with the rival packaging company MeadWestvaco Corp and create the second-largest paper and packaging company. Stocks on Wall Street traded sideways and in Europe investors took the latest Greek election results in strides.

D.R. Horton net climbed 16%. MeadWestvaco net tumbled 92% and agreed to merge with the rival Rock-Tenn. Norfolk revenues and net fell. Post Holdings climbed on positive outlook. Roper net soared 12%. Rock-Tenn net climbed 14%. Seagate profit surged 118%.

Balfour Beatty selected as preferred bidder for residential project for about £120 million. Delhaize revenues soared 6.3% to €5.8 billion and expected underlying operating profit of about €764 million. SSE reduced household gas tariff prices of 4.1% or £28 per year.

Exports in Japan soared 12.9% and surged to a record high in six years trimming annual trade deficit to 12.78 trillion yen, surpassing 11.5 trillion yen in 2013. Imports increased 1.9% in the month. Trade balance turned negative in 2011 and has expanded for four years in a row.

Bond yields took another dive and dropped to record low in the euro zone after the latest monetary stimulus in the euro zone. Bond prices rose across the euro zone including Greece, Portugal and Italy and yields fell near record lows in Germany, U.K., U.S. and Canada.
